Nurture Marketing names The Feed as charity partner of the year

Norwich-based Nurture Marketing has pledged to help reduce poverty, hunger and homelessness in the city by supporting not-for-profit The Feed during its first year of operation.

The start-up agency, which supports growing businesses in East Anglia with marketing support and training, has pledged to provide The Feed social enterprise with £1,000 of support via equipment donations, event room hire, pro bono marketing services and corporate fundraising.

The Feed is a social enterprise preventing poverty, hunger and homelessness in Norwich through employability projects and 1:1 support. The Feed runs five cafes, a and a successful catering enterprise.

Rechenda Smith, Founder at Nurture Marketing said: "The cause of homelessness has been close to my heart ever since my first ever job back in 2004 for a Norwich homeless charity. With the cost of living crisis hitting many people in many different ways across our city, I wanted to find a way to give back.

"The work that The Feed is doing to fight food poverty and homelessness in Norwich is more vital than ever. I've just launched Nurture Marketing and choosing The Feed as the charity of the year was a no-brainer."

Nurture Marketing has already donated a new washing machine to The Feed, has booked the Sandys-Winsch community room at The Feed's Waterloo Park Pavilion Café for a series of bitesize marketing courses and has some festive fundraising plans up its sleeve.

Chris Elliott, Marketing Manager at The Feed added: "We are continuing to expand the support we provide for people in Norwich this year, particularly for those facing food poverty. To have the support of the business community and organisations like Nurture Marketing is a key part of making this a success. We are looking forward to working with Rechenda over the coming months."
