Big Cuppa was a big success

Updated: Mar 4

On Wednesday the 8th February, our team of leopards held our Big Cuppa in the board room at Blofield Business Centre, raising nearly £400 for Big C Cancer Charity.

The morning flew by with attendees coming from all over Norfolk, bringing their own cakes and enjoying a selection of our homemade bakes accompanied by teas and coffee. The room was full of leopard print and conversations between the Norfolk business community.

For over 40 years the Big C Cancer Charity has been supporting those affected by cancer in Norfolk and North Suffolk. The charity helps support patients, families, and friends impacted by the illness by providing support and information online and in its centres. Each year in recognition of World Cancer Day, 4th February, Big C invites the public to set up a Big Cuppa to help raise funds for the charity by coming together over a slice of cake and a coffee.

We would like to thank everyone who joined us, donated, and participated in our Big Cuppa and we are delighted to share that we raised over £350 for the charity. It was lovely to see so many of our clients and business friends including Resins ‘R’ Us, Brancaster House Financial Planning, Lucas and Wyllys, Lamberts, and so many more. A big thank you also goes to Paul Macro, Paul Macro Photography for capturing our event in all its glory.

Towards the end of the morning, we drew our raffle. Congratulations to Mark Baker, Director of CIM Display and Cassy Mitchell, Centre Manager of Blofield Business Centre who got to take home a cake each. Mark chose the home-made leopard print cake by Matilda, and Cassie walked away with a Big C branded fruit cake, kindly donated to us by the charity.

Tom Holmes, Events and Engagement Manager for Big C joined us and said “It’s so wonderful to bring people together for a good cause. The money Nurture has raised will go on to support Big C’s Support Centres and Counselling Services for local people in Norfolk.”
